It gets more difficult each time we leave without her. 21 years this weekend she has endured on Death row. She is innocent--could that be why she has never had her automatic appeal reviewed? Still waiting...
I'm happy to see this blog still has regular updates since 2 years ago when I first picked up the book and learned about the case. It's disheartening to see not one modicum of headway has been made in the appeals process. Even one of the "prison lawyers" out at CCWF whom I had mentioned to about Kerry can't make heads or tails of it. I'm glad you are still able to be an anchor in Kerry's life, Victoria.
It is good to see you're still out there Scott. I hope you are still putting up a fight for right! We will never give up - Kerry has the constitutional right to an appeal - when will that happen? I pray before this year is over. Peace to you Scott.
Have you tried looking the trial up at the courthouse records? The case #CR 135002 is , the appeal # is S034764. Otherwise, I might be able to help you with specific parts of the case. Have you looked at the transcripts I've posted on this blog? Mush more is in CAGES, perhaps they will lead you to further specific questions i can help with.
Why can't we even have her appeal reviewed after 21 years? If it was so clear and no questions about the guilt wouldn't it have been quick and simple to review and stamp "denied" ?! Yet we wait... Everything about this case is false - to this date we have no idea if the missing person is even dead.
